In the context of Parliament Days that took part between 20 and 23 may Council for Preventing and Eliminating Discrimination and Ensuring Equality in partnership with Parliament of Republic of Moldova on the May 22 organized and hold the seminar entitled “Equality of the chances is a premise for the democratic society” that was participated by many students interested in the subject of respecting human rights and non-discrimination.
Andrei Brighidin, one of the Council members and coach thanked the Parliament for the initiative noting, “this session represents the opportunity for CPEDEE to continue to implement its functions in this instance through enhancing cooperation with Parliament of Republic of Moldova”.
Moreover, the President of Parliament Commission of international relations and European integration Mrs. Valentina Buliga attended the seminar noting, “we want these institutions which were created to implement the legislation of the Republic of Moldova in the field of non-discrimination to be functional and to ensure the observance of rights of people who live on the territory of the Republic of Moldova which is also being implemented by the Council.
At this session were analysed remedies and national arrangements against discrimination as well as a form of appealing to the Council for preventing and eliminating discrimination and ensuring equality which at the same time is an interactive activity with questions and answers.
We remind that on May 22 the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova in cooperation with other three state institutes for the first time organised three seminars – activities dedicated to Parliament Days on occasion of 26th anniversary.
