May 19 in the Chisinau took place the fourth meeting session of the Republic of Moldova-Romania Intergovernmental Commission for European Integration.
Council for Preventing and Eliminating Discrimination and Ensuring Equality that has the analogous Institute in Romania – National Council for Combating Discrimination, is one of the 12 institutes similar that reunited. The participants of discussion have presented and analysed results of the current projects and also have decided the ways of future collaboration considering the support of European direction of the Republic of Moldova. CPEDEE together with analogous institution presented the final results of the project “Consolidation of capacities of national system from Republic of Moldova in the context of combating the phenomena of discrimination through the civil society participation” which was implemented by the Institute of Public Policies of Moldova, Council for Preventing and Eliminating Discrimination and Ensuring Equality from Republic of Moldova (CPEDEE), Institute of Public Policies of Romania, National Council for Combating Discrimination from Romania (NCCD).
In the process of the project (June 2015 – January 2017) were registered the following achievements: organisation of trainings for representatives of civil society and local public authorities in the context of spreading the principles of non-discrimination on the local level and communication with vulnerable groups. The LPAs were also assisted and guided with the aim of including the principles of non-discrimination in internal documentation and work procedures.
CPEDEE also hell the series of discussions and consultations with analogous from Romania regarding the problems of incitement to hatred, discrimination of non-vaccinated children etc.
The institutional collaboration will continue in the future regarding the aspects of problems and causes found during the research, also was discussed the possibility of organisation of the project of twining.
The next mixed Commission Republic of Moldova-Romania for European integration session will be organised in Bucuresti on the second semester of 2017.
